Paleoclimatic reconstructions utilizing dendrochronology; Climatology -- solar variability, effects of volcanic eruptions; Geographic Information Systems -- especially the representation of time within GIS databases; Image Processing; Global Positioning Systems (GPS); Creation and analysis of computer based historical and paleoclimatic databases.
